Some skiers and boarders are always looking ahead to the upcoming winter season, even in the middle of the summer. They are hoping for that "epic powder", as they clutch their new season pass that they got at the very end of last season. Montana still has some summer left, but that doesn't mean we can't look back at an amazing ski run from last season. The forecast for the first "frost dates" will be here before the end of the month. We may also see some extremely cold temps this winter.

The Epic MT Video

This past winter, skier Wyatt Smith, made an epic run at the Big Sky resort and it was filmed on a GoPro camera. He skied a straight line on the "Radio Tower Chute" and was paid $1000 from GoPro for this run, according to Unofficial Networks. The video is short, because he is going so fast and, you really get a feeling of how fast he was going.

 

Big Sky, Montana has been the location of viral videos over the past few years. Sydney Crosby did some ice skating last winter before the NHL All-Star Game, and Tom Brady posted a video vacationing with his kids there. There was another video that went viral a few winters ago, when an influencer was asked to stop showing her butt to other skiers on the mountain, see below.

The ski season will be here in Montana before you know it, and with that will be more videos, stories and hopefully some "epic powder" for everyone.
