But if you're heading to the first game, there's something else you might want to do before you leave home: check the list of things you can't bring into the stadium.

Safety First: Prohibited Items at Washington-Grizzly Stadium

When you get more than 25,000 of your closest friends together for a Griz football game, there are going to be some rules. And those rules are there to help keep everybody safe and keep things moving.

So, before you head to Washington-Grizzly Stadium, here's a look at some of the items that are prohibited:

Animals, unless they are verified service animals
Alcohol and controlled substances
Backpacks and non-clear bags. Washington-Grizzly Stadium has a clear bag policy.
Banners or signs that game management considers inappropriate
Outside food and beverages
Stadium seats wider than 18 inches
Strollers and backpack child carriers
Tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and vaporizers
Weapons, including firearms and knives larger than a pocketknife
Umbrellas
