Valtteri Bottas Reportedly Spotted in Montana

Famous people use Montana as their playground all the time.

We see celebrities, musicians, actors and professional athletes come to Montana looking for a little peace and quiet. For some reason, though, I find it especially interesting when professional athletes show up here.

Why Athletes Choose Montana

Maybe it's because I'd actually like to meet some of them.

Musicians are cool, too, but there's something about seeing a professional athlete enjoying Montana that just seems more interesting.

Now, it looks like we can add a Formula 1 driver to the list.

According to a TikTok video posted by Evan B. Sales of Ressler Chevrolet in Bozeman, Valtteri Bottas is apparently in Montana.

Delivery to the Stars: A Unique Encounter

Bottas is a Finnish Formula 1 driver who currently drives for Cadillac in F1. According to the video, Evan's job was to deliver a Chevrolet to Bottas while he was here.

That's not exactly your average vehicle delivery.

The Intrigue of Celebrity Sightings

I checked Bottas's Instagram to see if he had posted anything from Montana yet, but I couldn't find any obvious Montana photos or videos.

So, we don't have a giant neon sign saying, "Valtteri Bottas is definitely vacationing in Montana."

Still, that TikTok video is pretty convincing.

Honestly, I can't blame him.

Bottas has a break in the F1 schedule right now, with the next race scheduled for August 21-23 in the Netherlands.

Why not spend some of that downtime in Montana?

Imagining an F1 Driver in Big Sky Country

Of course, now I'm thinking about something that would be absolutely incredible to see.

Can you imagine seeing an F1 driver cruising the Going-to-the-Sun Road, or the Beartooth Highway?

Or watching him take a Montana highway through some of our wide-open country?

I'd love to see an F1 driver experience Montana roads, complete with construction zones, RVs, wildlife and the occasional driver going 15 miles under the speed limit because they're taking in the scenery.

Forget the Monaco Grand Prix.

Give Bottas a Montana highway and see what happens.

Of course, I'm kidding about putting an F1 car on Montana's public roads. Those cars aren't exactly designed for dodging RVs and construction barrels.

Bottas: A Treasure in Montana

Still, it's pretty cool to think that one of the world's top motorsports drivers could be somewhere around Montana right now, enjoying a little time away from the racetrack.

So, if you're out around Bozeman and happen to see a familiar-looking Finnish guy enjoying Montana, take a second look.

It could be Valtteri Bottas.
