Surprising How Valuable This Small Montana Town Is For Beer
Beer drunk in moderation, softens the temper, cheers the spirit and promotes health- Thomas Jefferson
Montana and beer go together like a hand and a glove. We have an appreciation for the adult beverage in our state. We appreciate beer so much we have microbreweries in every major city. In some cities, there is more than one. Billings, Missoula, Helena, Great Falls, Bozeman, the list goes on and they make some amazing beer. I have had the pleasure of sampling some of these over the years. By the way, if you are looking for some Montana bar etiquette, we got you covered. If you are looking for a fun bar game where you can win some money, we have that information too. But, this may be something that you didn't know.
Montana Town Is "Malted Barley Capital of the World"
One of the main ingredients that help make beer so fantastic is malting barley. Which just so happens to grow in Montana, so much so, that we have the self-proclaimed “Malting Barley Capital of the World” in our own backyard in Fairfield Montana.
Some Of The Biggest Beers In The World Are Connected To Montana
Even though Fairfield’s population is small. What is grown there is used throughout the world to make beer, that's malting barley. That’s a good thing. Busch Agricultural Resources has a location in Fairfield. As in Anheuser-Busch. If that sounds familiar it’s because they brew Budweiser and Bud Light among a long list of other adult beverages. Which consistently are among the most popular beers in the world.
A Little Bit Of Montana In A Glass
Next time you raise a glass of that frosty fermented goodness, whether it was brewed in a small batch in your hometown, or it was brewed by a beer conglomerate, there is a good chance that there is a little piece of Montana in that beer. Cheers to that. Enjoy responsibly.
