
Celebrities Doing Good: Montana Gets a Boost from Tyler Childers
The relationship between Montana and celebrities isn’t anything new. It is also a complicated relationship.
There have been many celebrities who were born here, left and then went on to be famous elsewhere. There are also the celebrities that have moved to Montana and have been here for decades.
Some celebrities like to use Montana as their playground.

Not all celebrities have left a negative impact. Certain celebrities have done some good for Montana.
For those that don’t know, Jeff Ament from Pearl Jam who is from Montana continues to make a lasting positive impact in our state with his building of skate parks around the state with his Montana Pool Service.
When Shania Twain played her concert at Washington Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, she made a big donation to the Montana Food Bank Network.

There is another artist that has been doing some good quietly in our state over the past year.
Tyler Childers’ Montana Connection
Tyler Childers who performed in 2024 at Washington Grizzly Stadium with an amazing drone show, also recently performed at the Under the Big Sky in Whitefish, Montana has been quietly making contributions to Montana.
Supporting the Blackfeet Nation
According to an Indigenous.tv Instagram post Tyler Childers has been quietly funding language, food, and youth programs on the Blackfeet Reservation.

According to their post, he has been helping Fast Blackfeet which is a native-led non-profit organization that combats food insecurity on the Blackfeet Reservation. As well as Backpacker’s Ferry which is a Blackfeet owned business located in East Glacier. They offer affordable tourism and transportation.
I never got the chance to catch Childers the last two times he has performed in Montana, I will have to try to catch him next time.
There is something inspiring about someone helping Montanans quietly. Thank you Mr. Childers for your help and your support of our state.
