With the 4th of July holiday coming up, this is the time that people will be stocking up on their provisions. The hot dogs, burgers and buns will be on many menus across Montana for a celebration that is known for involving grills and BBQs. For some stocking up may include making a trip to their local Costco.

Montana Costco Stores Carry Wine and Beer

One item that Montanans stock up on, when it comes to holidays is adult beverages. Costco stores in Montana carry beer and wine. Unlike other Costco stores, in other parts of the country, they don't carry hard liquor. Missoula's Costco store keeps it local and carries some Montana brewed beers.

When trying to guess which is the most popular alcohol purchased at Costco stores in Montana, the answer may be a surprise to you, it was to me. I assumed the answer would have been one of Montana's locally brewed beers. I was wrong. Not only is not a locally brewed beer, it isn't a beer at all.

According to Food and Wine the most popular alcohol sold at Montana Costco stores is the Kirkland Signature Prosecco, which is a sparkling white wine.
