I had no idea that Google Street View offered a glimpse into so many cool places. I've always just thought of it as a tool, but now I've been looking for other cool places you can see with Google Street view and I found some that are spectacular.

I like to hike as much as the next Montanan, but I definitely can't go as far or as high as I'd like to, or what would be required to see some of Montana's most amazing views. There are also views you can see by car, but if you don't have an all-terrain vehicle, or if you just don't like driving, you're missing out.
Here's a list of places in Montana you can catch a glimpse of using Google Street View without having to strap on your hiking boots or wondering if your front-wheel drive can handle it.
Blodgett Canyon
If you are new to hiking or just want to be more active in general, using Google Street View to check out locations like Blodgett Canyon can give you an idea of what you can look forward to when you get out on the trail. (View)
Bear Creek Overlook
Views like these are motivating, too. This trail is popular and considered "moderately challenging." Just seeing this view has me hoping to get out on this trail this summer. (View)
Lolo Peak
It's almost like the view from an airplane. (View)
Blue Mountain
While it may be a highly frequented area, it's still inaccessible to some, which is why it's so important that tools like Google Street View exist. (View)
Petty creek
There's something refreshing about a tool used for "streets" having views of some of the most beautiful parts of Montana. (View)
Murphy Peak
You know how pictures of the Earth from space make a person feel small? I think this picture from Murphy Peak sort of has the same effect. (View)
Mineral Peak
Just hiking over that rock field would be difficult for some. (View)
Sheep Mountain
This is an epic hike or mountain bike ride that offers incredible views and can really make a person feel like they've gotten away from it all even if they're only minutes from Missoula. (View)
Waterfalls at Skalkaho Pass
You can certainly drive to these falls, but the road winds and isn't paved, so it may not be your cup of tea. (View)
