Missoula’s Beloved Food Truck Makes Comeback

There were some bummed out people in Missoula when they heard that Sonny's Original was closing their brick-and-mortar location for good last December.

Since then, their old location has been transformed into the new FSK restaurant.

Before Sonny's Original opened their permanent location, they were a very popular food truck serving the Missoula and Bitterroot Valley with amazing cheesesteak sandwiches. The food truck was converted from an old Snap-On Tools truck.

The good news for those that have been craving the Sonny's Original cheesesteak sandwiches is the food truck is back and can be found making the rounds again in the Missoula area.

Last week they were serving up lunch at the U.S. Chef's Store/Get Air parking lot on Brooks, Mountain Supply on Mullan Road, and at the Lucky Diamond Casino on the corner of Brooks and Reserve.

The menu is cranking out their original cheesesteaks as well as mushroom Swiss cheesesteaks, pepper steak, BLT steak sandwiches and Italian hoagies.

I still feel that Missoula needs to have a more permanent food truck location like a food truck court, like other Montana towns.
