Will Montana’s Winter Be Epic? Forecast for Winter ’23
Let's not push the seasons just yet. We haven't really even started the change to Autumn in Montana, but it doesn't hurt to try to plan ahead. The forecast for Autumn, may see some early snow for Montana, depending on which side of the state you live in. There are some extended forecasts that have been released for what we can expect for winter in Montana.
Skiing, Snowboarding and Snowmobiling in Montana May Be Epic
If you like to spend your winters shushing down the slopes, or snowmobiling in Montana's mountains, the forecast may be good news for you. According to reports it looks like this winter may be a good season for both pursuits in Montana.

According to the extended forecast from Snowmobilers.com on Facebook, Montana may see above normal snowfall this season. This would be a good time to make your plans for snowmobiling or looking at getting your season lift tickets for Montana's many ski resorts early.
The Farmers Almanac Montana Forecast
According to The Farmer's Almanac, Montana will see above average snow fall and we will see a cold winter. The almanac is predicting an "El Niño" forecast for the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024 which will mean more moisture and snow this winter. Their forecast for our region:
Winter in the Great Plains and Rockies will usher in plenty of cold temperatures and occasional bouts of storminess, bringing widespread rains and snows.
