Every once in a while, it’s a good idea to take a break from cooking at home or picking up a bag of fast food. If you want to be pampered a bit and can afford a special treat, Missoula has some very nice fine dining establishments.  

There are always reasons to celebrate—birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions.

When you decide to go out for some fine dining in Missoula there are a lot of factors that can come into play. The menu, view, and price can all be make-or-break when choosing where to eat.

There is also what you define as fine dining. For me, I don’t normally consider a restaurant fine dining if cloth napkins aren’t involved. For others just eating in a restaurant that has tables and doesn’t have a drive-thru can be considered fine dining.

What Counts as Fine Dining in Missoula?

Over the years there have been Missoula restaurants that we have been sad to see close their doors. Some of them have been fine dining restaurants. 

Who remembers the Silk Road, or Chinook? Those were two of our favorites, but they have been gone for a while now.

The Best Fine Dining Spots Today

In the meantime if you are looking for a fine dining experience in Missoula, according to the reviews on Yelp! the top rated place to eat is the Boxcar Bistro. Of the entire list that is the only place that I haven't tried yet, and it is rated as the best. I am going to add it to our list of places to try very soon.

There may be some places on this list that people may disagree with, but that is where rating places online comes in. I am going to have to start using the internet to leave reviews of places that I really enjoy and appreciate. That isn't something that I have done before, but I think it is about time to start. Most places that I frequent ask for reviews, so I am going to start.
