Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - With the retirement of long-time Missoula Chamber of Commerce CEO Kim Latrielle, her former coworker Mark Losh has been chosen as the new Chief Executive Officer starting in January of 2024.

KGVO News spoke to Losh on Thursday from his new home near Spokane, Washington about his return to the Missoula Chamber following Latrielle’s retirement.

“I instantly put my information in and let those in leadership know this is something that I wanted,” began Losh. “I love Missoula. I love Montana, and I wanted the opportunity to come back and finish my career in Montana, and finish what we started as far as creating an initiative-driven chamber. So I'm excited to come back. It was a professionally run process that I went through and I congratulate the Executive Committee of the chamber board that handled this very well, and I just can't wait to get to work.”

Losh wants to Work with All the Business Groups to help Missoula Grow

Losh said with the growth in the Missoula business community over the years, that the Chamber of Commerce and many other such organizations can work together to help the city grow.

“One; we need to really connect with the community and find out what we need to do as a chamber to serve you the best,” he said. “Our mission is really going to be focused around the ABCs of advancing business, to include community collaboration. We have 11 to 12 wonderful organizations in town that are all trying to make Missoula a better place to live and work, and our focus is to collaborate with those different organizations and how can we all start working together on what needs to be addressed now.”

Losh said he is Eager to Return 'The Chamber Hour' to KGVO's Talk Back Lineup

Losh said he is eagerly anticipating the revival of what was called ‘The Chamber Hour’ on KGVO as soon as possible.

“I'm very excited that maybe we can bring back The Chamber Hour,” he said. “I'd like to be able to do that because I think it's a great way for us to connect and I'm very excited, and I think the other organizations are excited to have a conversation and start working together.”

Losh is the current CEO of the West Plains Chamber of Commerce in western Washington and will take up the CEO position at the Missoula Chamber of Commerce on January 2, 2024.
