Comedian Iliza Shlesinger’s Montana Visit Sparks Buzz Among Fans
I know that just about every time we write about a celebrity visiting Montana or a celebrity sighting in Montana, someone will inevitably respond with "Who cares?"
I understand.
It's happening more and more frequently, and no, it's not news.
But I also get starstruck sometimes, and I think other Montanans do too. I want to think that the people who say "Who cares?" might care if someone famous that they liked visited Montana. They might be curious to know about it.
So here's one of mine. My favorite comic just posted pictures of herself in Montana.
Iliza Shlesinger Was in Montana
Name not ringing a bell? She won "Last Coming Standing" in 2008 and you've probably seen her comedy specials on Netflix; she's had a few.
- Hot Forever
- Unveiled
- War Paint
- Freezing Hot
- Confirmed Kills
- Elder Millenial
She also coined the term "elder millennial" (see special above) which I so prefer to "geriatric millennial" or any of the other weird nicknames people come up with for our micro generation.
Here's her classic bit about the moniker (warning NSFW language).
Along with her comedy specials, Shlesinger is an author, podcaster, and actor, and she's married to chef Noah Galuten.
She posted to her Instagram account photos of herself and her husband Noah in Montana. On the post, the location said, "The Ranch at Rock Creek" which is in Phillipsburg, Montana, and the caption just said, "Montana."

In the photos, you'll see a crossword completed with a pen, some pretty tasty-looking fried chicken, and what looks like panning for gold. It also looks like they stopped at a cafe in Idaho Falls. Fans in the comments shouted out their love for Montana and for Idaho Falls.
She's Going on Tour and Will Be Kinda Close to Montana
Seeing a post like this made me wonder if we'll see Shlesinger do a show in Montana sometime soon, maybe for her 2024 Get Ready Tour. It looks like she'll be in Spokane, Washington this Friday. That might be the closest she'll get for a while.
