This Montana Small Town BBQ Spot Is One Of the Best in The Nation

Montana Has Some Great BBQ

Montana has some popular chain BBQ restaurants that you can find like Dickey's BBQ Pit in Billings, Bozeman, Butte and Kalispell. There is also Famous Dave's BBQ in Missoula, Kalispell, and Billings. There are, of course, local BBQ spots that offer some pretty amazing eats. Whitefish has the Piggyback BBQ and Missoula has two Notorious P.I.G. locations.

This Montana BBQ Made Top 10 in the Nation

There is one BBQ spot in Montana that sticks out. According to Yelp, it is one of the best in the entire country. Out of the top "100 Barbecue Spots in 2024" this Montana spot has made the top 10. It has also been featured in the past on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" with Guy Fieri in 2018. This is the only BBQ spot in Montana that made the list.

Firehole Bar B Que Company is One of the Best

It's not located in one of the bigger cities in Montana, like you may expect. It is the Firehole Bar B Que Company located in West Yellowstone, Montana. According to the rankings they are the 8th best BBQ spot in the country.

Firehole BBQ offers smoked meat by the pound, brisket, pork, turkey, and buffalo sausage. They also make St. Louis style pork ribs. Like a lot of BBQ restaurants, they are open 7 days a week at 4pm "until sold out". When the meat is gone they are done for the day.
