ICYMI: A Missoula Favorite Restaurant Has Reopened As a New Venture
If you don't spend much time on social media, or if you don't follow this restaurant, you may have missed the memo that a new takeout spot has opened up in downtown Missoula.
The Catalyst Cafe and Espresso closed last fall but soon announced they would reopen as a new restaurant that would be takeout only. Over the past several months they've been renovating the space at 123 E Main Street, but they officially opened on May 28. Since then, they've had an interesting opening.

In a post, they shared that they had a successful opening day with nods to collaborating businesses Tandem Bakery and Morning Birds Bakery.
But as the week went on, they shared other interesting updates. Their menu expanded, and while some items appeared planned, others were added because of customer requests.
While many restaurants accomodate individual needs, like altering orders for allergies or preferences, it's not as often that you see a restaurant shaping their offerings directly from feedback, and almost as quickly as they receive it.
They've added almost 10 items by request in the last week based on their social media posts.
Aside from the individual items, the establishment offers a full espresso bar, a salad bar, house-made soups, a baked potato bar, rotisserie chicken, ready-to-eat items, treats and retail items.
Reviews are positive so far. One user on Facebook said, "That $10 meat burrito is 2 meals!! The salad bar was perfection, so fresh!" Others expressed appreciation for the vegan options, and one person described a vinaigrette as "divine."
Catalyst2Go is open Monday - Saturday 10 am - 6 pm.
