The products being recalled are Eye Ointment products that are manufactured by Thane, Maharashtra, India, Brassica Pharma Pvt. Ltd. These products are readily available at Walmart and CVS locations through Montana. This is a voluntary recall. Here is the reason for the recall:
The products are being recalled due to lack of sterility assurance at the facility noted during an inspection conducted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

According to the FDA with ophthalmic products that are used in the eyes, they are intended to be sterile. If not they can cause other issues since they are used directly in the eyes they can bypass some of a person's natural defenses. As of February 16th, 2024, there have been no reports of adverse reactions.
