Montana's Most Popular 'Classic Rock' Band May Surprise You

Playing music on the radio for a living has been a dream of mine since I was in middle school in Montana. I have been able to make that dream come true. I have also had the privilege to play "Classic Rock" on the radio for over twenty years. In that time I have been able to listen to a lot of different artists. There are few that top my list of favorites.

"Who's Your Favorite Band?"

A question that DJs get asked a lot is "Who is your favorite band?". That is never an easy answer and it can vary from day to day depending on my mood. According to Selleasy.com, they have come up with the "Most Popular Classic Rock Band" from every state across the nation. Montana's top response may surprise you.

Pearl Jam Couldn't Make the Cut

According to their methodology, they took 70 bands that are pre-1990, and looked at Google analytics to find out which bands were searched the most over the 2004-2023. With the criteria being pre-1990, that would exclude Pear Jam from their list. Pearl Jam, with founder Jeff Ament being from Big Sandy Montana, probably would have topped Montana's list.
