Montana has a love/hate relationship with tourists and tourism. After all, tourism is one of Montana's biggest industries. There are plenty of reasons why Montana is attractive to tourists, we have access to two of the most popular national parks in the country. The Last Best Place has a lot to offer those that want to visit.
On the other hand tourists can cause issues for Montana. Not all of them follow the rules and can put themselves and others in danger. Even celebrity visitors have been known to break the rules, such as actor Pierce Brosnan.

Tourist season in Montana can make the state feel a bit more crowded than usual. The airports are bustling. Our roads have more cars with out-of-state plates on them, and then there are the RVs. Those issues can add to the hate part of things.

Then there is the love part of it. Tourists spend money in Montana, a lot of money. They enjoy the state and then they leave with memories and their wallets a little bit lighter.
