Montana Stands Out: No Cities In Top 100 Most Overweight
Sometimes not being included can be a good thing. In this case it's a very good thing that no Montana cities have been included on this latest list that has to do with health. Montana may not be the healthiest state, but we also don't have some of the most "overweight" cities in the country.
Montana Is Not Included on this List
A recent study by WalletHub revealed the top 100 "Most Overweight and Obese Cities in the U.S.", not one Montana city made the list.
One City in a Neighboring State Made the List
The top 5 most overweight cities are located in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, and Arkansas. No cities from our neighbors Wyoming and North and South Dakota made the list either. Spokane, Washington and Boise, Idaho are on the list. Utah had three cities that made the list, Salt Lake City, Provo and Ogden all made the list.
The South and the East Have the Most Overweight People in the U.S.
When looking at where the most overweight people are located, the west has the fewest amount of cities on the list. The south and the east make up a majority of the cities with the most overweight people. WalletHub looked at three key dimensions, obesity and overweight, health consequences, and food and fitness to rank the cities.

Montana is a state that encourages an active lifestyle with activities for almost everyone. When Montanans aren't working, you can find them outside enjoying a long list of activities, golfing, biking, hiking, riding horses, even just going out for a walk.
