The food landscape in Missoula is constantly changing and evolving. There has been a lot of change in just the past year. There have been some good news and some bad news. Then there are some stories that are both good and bad. We had the story about the closing of the North Reserve location of Hoagieville, but we were told there was going to be a different restaurant taking it's place.

Missoula's Second Furgals Location Now Open

We heard that a second Frugals location was going into that location. The new Frugals location in Missoula is now open on North Reserve. There are now two locations to get those "Classic Fix" burgers, fries and chocolate shakes. There is the original location on Brooks Street and now on North Reserve. The Brooks Street location has been a popular location for their brand of burgers since it opened. In October of 2022 the restaurant suffered an explosion and had to close while they remodeled. They re-opened in March of 2023.

The Tap Club Is Another North Reserve Food Option

The owners of Hoagieville made the decision to close their North Reserve location. They shifted their attention to the Tap Club restaurant and tap house, that officially opened in 2023. The Tap Club is in the location on North Reserve where Perkins restaurant was once housed. The Tap Club has a menu that features "half pound, hand pressed" burgers as well as sandwiches and a menu that is "tap inspired". There is also an extensive list of beers on tap.
