Help Missoula Wild Lacrosse: Fundraiser Offers Yardwork Assistance
Spring time for a lot of people means time to clean up those yards, trim those trees and bushes and get ready for summer. Here is a way that you can get some of that yardwork done and help out a good cause at the same time.
"Win-Win" Fundraiser for Missoula Lacrosse
Missoula's Wild Lacrosse is having their annual fundraiser and this is one of those "win-win" situations. If you would like to be involved, for a donation, you can get a group of the high school players to help you with your yardwork. The yardwork event will be happening on Sunday April 28th, 2024.
Do you need your yards raked? Do you need tree branches picked up? Do you need dog poop cleaned up? This is your chance to get it done and get your yard spruced up and get it read for the summer.
Montana Lacrosse Is a "Club Sport"
Lacrosse is a "club" sport in Montana. That means that it isn't involved with local schools. Families that want to have their kids be a part of lacrosse have to fund the sport, schools don't help out. Like other sports in Montana, there is a lot of travel involved. The costs to be able to field a team are high. There are uniforms, equipment, coaches, referees, field rentals, etc. That is where the fundraising is needed.
Missoula Wild Coach is a World Record Holder
The head coach of the high school boys Wild Lacrosse team, Ryan Hanavan tries his best to help spread the word about lacrosse across the state. He and his son Logan both currently hold three world records for lacrosse activities.
