Over the years, some of my favorite places in Missoula have been restaurants. Whether it was in a booth, a table, or the kitchen, spending quality time there with family and friends is something I look forward to. When the food is tasty, that just makes it much more special.
Just like most cities, Missoula has had restaurants that have come and gone. You may never know when you are going to be eating at one of your favorite places for the last time. It’s not always easy to say goodbye to some of our favorite places to eat.

There are restaurants in Missoula that have been closed for decades, yet people still miss them. It could be the food, the location, or the time in your life, but there is just something about these places that people still miss.
The Eateries Missoulians Still Talk About
We asked our listeners what one past Missoula restaurant they would like to see return. There were hundreds of answers, and it was difficult for a lot people to just choose one. There were restaurants mentioned that I had forgotten about. I worked at a few of the restaurants mentioned, like Casa Pablo’s and King’s Table.

They may not have all had the best food, but there is still a place in our hearts for them all the same.
The restaurants mentioned the most are Tower Pizza and Howard’s Pizza. Missoulians are also missing places where you can grab a good slice of pie.
