
Missoula Police Seize Meth From Man Near the Poverello Center
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On February 21, 2025, Missoula Police Department Officers were patrolling the area of the Poverello Center. One officer had viewed the active warrant list and was aware that 22-year-old Billy Manywhitehorses had an arrestable warrant. The officer was familiar with Manywhitehorses from prior interactions and saw him standing near a tent.
Officers detained Manywhitehorses without incident, then conducted a search incident to arrest. Manywhitehorses was wearing a black shoulder bag and consented to its search. Inside the bag, Officers found a black plastic container with a Biohazard sticker. Manywhitehorses consented to its search.
Inside the black container, the officer observed a small Ziploc bag containing a white crystalline substance. Based on his training and experience, the officer suspected the substance to be methamphetamine.

The officer Mirandized Manywhitehorses. Manywhitehorses stated he understood and admitted the substance was Methamphetamine. The substance tested presumptive positive by a TruNarc device. The total package weight of the substance was .56 Grams.

Manywhitehorses was arrested and transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility. He is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, and his bond was set at $50,000.
