Where to Get the Best Mocktails in Missoula
Recently, I had to have shoulder surgery thanks to a fall I took in January. Remember those terrible winter storms? Well, in the battle of Ashley versus an icy parking lot, Ashely lost. I had to have a procedure to repair my bicep tendon. So, I've been in a sling for a while and will be for a few more weeks. That also means I'm also taking some mild painkillers, which means I haven't been partaking in adult beverages.
Which got me thinking, where can a girl get a good mocktail in Missoula? Even if you're not recovering from surgery, there are plenty of reasons why a person might want a tasty, refreshing drink that doesn't have alcohol in it. And I'm not talking about asking the bartender to give you a Shirley Temple or a Roy Rogers or a virgin Daiquiri. I'm talking about an artful drink that tastes like a cocktail but doesn't have any alcohol. I'm happy to say I found that there are some establishments in Missoula that feature drinks like this. Of course, you can make them yourself, but sometimes you just want to feel fancy.
Here are some places in Missoula where you can get a mocktail. If I've missed any other good ones, let me know. Drop them in the comments or send us a message on our app.
Pangea Bar & Restaurant
Even though they were just recognized by Wine Spectator for having an amazing wine list, Pangea offers delectable non-alcoholic cocktails or "mocktails" too. Try the Blood Orange Fizz or the Rasberry Margarita if you're in the mood for something summery.
Plonk Wine
Plonk has 15 cocktails listed on their menu and they say they can make most of them zero proof upon request. They also have two non-alcoholic drinks, an Athletic Brewing Run Wild IPA and a Lagunitas hoppy refresher.
The Camino
Some of their "no booze" drinks are fancier than others. While you can get an "agua fresca" which is "hibiscus with lime and agave", you can also get a "mexican soda" which is "fanta, sprite and coke."
Montgomery Distillery
Here, they call it their "Temperance Menu" and yes, they have chocolate milk delightfully referred to as a "Little Dude." They also have a "Bumble Bee", a "Calamity Jane" and a "Mini Mule."
The Thomas Meagher Bar
This is a good option for a Huckleberry Lemonade and don't forget about Bingo on Wednesday nights with KC. I asked and he says, if you call a fall bingo he'll let you take a mock shot off his "boobs."
