A Little Birdie Told Me When Missoula’s Chick-fil-A Will be Open
If we take a trip in the digital time machine known as the internet we can quickly travel back to what was making news in January of 2020. It's pretty wild to think that we hadn't even hit the craziness of COVID at that point! But it was right there, just before we entered the world of self-distancing and quarantines, that Pier One Imports announced that they would be closing over 400 stores nationwide including the one in Missoula.
It took more than a year to finally get news of what would be taking over the spot vacated by Pier One. But in February of 2021, it was announced that Chick-fil-A had applied for a building permit and Missoula would join the growing list of markets that the popular chicken restaurant would call home.
It's starting to come together!
Well, here we are about a year and a half later still waiting to get our hands on the popular chicken sandwiches and waffle fries. But it appears that things are coming right along and it shouldn't be long now. Things have really kicked into gear over the last 30-45 days and construction is coming right along. They've taken the structure from foundation to building in just a few weeks.
Will Missoula's Chick-fil-A be open by September
I was talking to a casual friend about two weeks ago and we started talking about the progress of the new Chick-fil-A. The friend told me that they had met the owner and in their conversation, the owner mentioned September as the target date for opening. I know, I heard it from a guy who heard it from a guy, and that may not always be the most reliable info. But from seeing how things are progressing with the building I could totally see it being ready to open in another 6 weeks which would put it right there in the first part of September.
The gift that keeps on giving eventually gives
I've had a Chick-fil-A gift card sitting on the counter at home for seven months now thanks to my mom slipping it into the Christmas package she sent last year. So be it September, or whenever they open the doors, my first visit is already paid for! Hopefully, Missoula will be a little less crazy when it comes to those famous Chick-fil-A lines we've all seen across the country.
