Even though summer has just begun, we have already seen a little bit of everything. There has been dramatic changes in the weather. Fishing restrictions have been put in place in some areas already. Of course there's also been the usual tourist interactions with wildlife in a park.

For good or for bad, there are just some things we seem to see in Montana every summer. For some people, summer hasn't officially started until they have seen a few of these things.

For me, summer has officially arrived when I drive down the road and see the old "campground full" signs as I pass campground after campgrounds. Those signs don't appear nearly as often in the spring or fall. But these days they are getting more frequent in those shoulder seasons.
