One of the best things about camping, in my opinion, cooking over a campfire. I like to believe that I am a pretty good cook, but when it comes to campfire cooking, for me it's usually the simpler the better. The simplicity is one of the things that makes it appealing.
Eating and cooking over a campfire in bear country needs to be done with extreme caution. Food storage and cooking can make for dangerous situations. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service has a long list on Bear Safety. Also don't forget the bear spray when you are out in the woods.
