ICYMI: Popular Thai Restaurant Expands in Downtown Missoula

Missoula’s downtown area continues to change and evolve. A lot is happening.   

Take a quick walk downtown and you will notice several exciting changes. Not all of them are businesses. The riverfront at Brennan’s Wave has seen a transformation and is more readily accessible for everyone, including people in wheelchairs, which is great to see.  

Downtown Missoula Gets More Accessible

Missoula's food scene is evolving too. Recently we saw the openings of both M-80 Chicken, in the old Shack Cafe building, at 222 W. Main Street, and the 3B Bagels in the old Sushi Hana location at 403 N. Higgins Ave.

In case you missed it, one of Missoula’s newer restaurants is expanding to a second location downtown.  

Rice Fine Thai Cuisine is getting ready to open its second Missoula location, right next to Charlie B’s at 424 N. Higgins.  The temporary signs are gone, and the store front looks finished.  

Not only will this be Rice Fine Thai Cuisine’s second location in Missoula, but they also have 2 locations in Bozeman and one in Belgrade and Livingston.

According to their website, Rice Fine Thai Cuisine is a “Thai Select” certified restaurant. That means that their ‘Chefs must be carefully trained in the preparation of bona fide Thai meals.’

The restaurant started in 2012 and has won several awards in Bozeman like the “Best Restaurant” in 2013 and “Best Take-Out" in both 2016 and 2019.  

Where to Find Rice Fine Thai Now

While diners are patiently waiting for the second Missoula location to open, the original Missoula at 1200 W. Kent is open. You can dine in, order online or use DoorDash to get some of that Rice Thai food you crave.
