New 400 Horses Casino Rising Fast in Polson
If you’ve driven through the west side of Polson lately, you may have noticed the construction of the new 400 Horses Casino that S&K Gaming is building. You may have also noticed that it is going up fast. In case you missed it, the groundbreaking took place last April for the new 35,000-square-foot casino.
The 400 Horses Casino is expected to be completed with a soft opening planned for June of 2026. According to 500 Nations, the casino will have 300 parking spots and could eventually see an event center, RV park, and hotel on the site on the 79-acre property.

The plan is to eventually move the casino portion of the Kwataqnuk Casino in Polson to the new location. S&K Gaming will then turn the Kwataqnuk into a family-friendly facility on the south end of Flathead Lake. These plans to move the casino have been in place since 2022 with the approval of the plans happening in 2023.
Future Plans for Kwataqnuk Casino
S&K Gaming was established by the Salish and Kootenai tribes in 2006. Since then, they have opened the Kwataqnuk Resort and Casino in Polson, The Gray Wolf Peak Casino on Evaro Hill, and the Big Arm Resort and Casino on Flathead Lake.
