Montana's outdoor concert season is starting to wind down.

Indoor Concerts: A New Season of Music Awaits

Once the temperatures start dropping and the weather gets a little unpredictable, we trade the outdoor stages for indoor concert halls, theaters, and schools.

That doesn't mean the live music is stopping.

Free Concerts Across Montana: Don't Miss Out!

In fact, there's a pretty special concert tour making its way across Montana this October.

The United States Air Force Concert Band and Singing Sergeants are coming to Montana for an 11-day community relations tour from October 14 through October 25.

Here's the part that caught my attention:

The concerts are FREE.

Getting Your Tickets: Essential Information

You do need to get tickets in advance, though. This isn't one of those events where you can just show up and hope to get a seat. The venues have limited seating, so the sooner you get your tickets, the better.

Where and When: Concert Stops You Can’t Miss

The tour begins in Billings on October 14 and makes stops around the state, including Bozeman, Helena, Missoula, Hamilton, and the Flathead Valley. There's also a performance at the Ronan High School Auditorium on October 24.

Missoula performances are scheduled for October 20 at 7 p.m. at the Dennison Theatre, and October 22 at Big Sky High School at 5 p.m. There will be a Hamilton performance at Hamilton High School on October 21 at 7 p.m.

This isn't just a traditional military band playing marches, either.

The Concert Band and Singing Sergeants are two of the six performing ensembles that make up the U.S. Air Force Band. The Concert Band has 52 active-duty musicians, while the Singing Sergeants have 24 active-duty musicians.

The performances feature American music, medleys, and patriotic classics, eventually culminating in a tribute to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Your Fall Entertainment: Free Music and Fun!

So, if you're looking for something different to do this fall, this could be a pretty cool night out.

Great music. Incredible performers. A little patriotism. And you don't have to pay for the ticket.

Just remember, free doesn't mean you don't need a ticket.

If you're interested, I'd grab yours sooner rather than later on the Air Force Band's website.
