Montana Has 2 Fast Food Chains With the Highest Quality Beef (And Needs 3 More From This List)
We're lucky in Montana to have access to high-quality, local beef.
We recently had a story about a local business called Oxbow Cattle Company that sells beef through their shop, and at their retail store, "it operates on the honor system," according to an interview with Governor Greg Gianforte.

Appreciating high-quality beef is why I was interested in an article that I came across about the fast food chains.
AOL.com published a list from Cheapism of the fast food chains with the highest quality beef. Given Montanans' appreciation for ranching, and the number of steak and burger restaurants across the state, this is the kind of list a lot of Montanas might care about.
However, with 8 fast food chains on the list, Montana only has 2 of them.
Wendy's
Montana has 18 Wendy's locations with 5 in Billings, 2 in Bozeman and 2 in Missoula. As AOL.com points out, "half of its beef" comes "from U.S. and Canadian farms certified by Beef Quality Assurance." That certainly makes a difference in the quality of the beef and I imagine is a big part of why that can say "fresh, never frozen."
Mooyah
Unless you're in Billings, you may not know about Mooyah, a fast-food chain that "uses Certified Angus Beef." What's kind of nice about Mooyah is you can build your burger, almost like a Subway sandwich, choosing which toppings you prefer. And the fries (hand-cut Idaho or Sweet Potato) and shakes are oh so tasty too.
But with 8 restaurants on the list, it seems like Montana could use a few more chains that have high quality beef. We've written about two of these before, but the last one I'll throw in because I tried it on the east coast and it was great.
Montana should get these chains with high-quality beef next:
And remember, there are tons of local restaurants that use high-quality beef for their burgers and entrees, too.
