According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, Montana is forecast to see above average temperatures this fall. So it may take a little later in the season before you're going to have to cover those pumpkins, depending on where you live.

One thing that I look forward to every fall is when we get to finally set our clocks back an hour. Getting that "extra" hour of sleep is something that makes me happy. My dog on the other hand will be up at his usual time expecting to be fed.

When Montana Turns the Clocks Back

Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 2 at 2:00 a.m. That's when we continue the tradition of clocks turning back an hour. These days most clocks, like computers, phones, TVs, etc. change automatically.

There has been discussion about doing away with the time changes in the U.S. and just keeping us on the same time all year round. Montana still has a law on the books to do away with changing clocks. Before that can be put into practice we need other states in the West to do the same thing.

As of right now it doesn't look like we are going to stop changing our clocks any time soon. In the meantime the countdown is on for an extra hour of sleep coming in the beginning of November.
