There’s just something about a good hot dog. For me, it’s one of those comfort foods that never really gets old. Give me a hot dog with spicy mustard, and I’m a happy guy.

It looks like Missoula is getting a new place that could be right up my alley.

New Hot Dog Haven in Missoula

Pastrami Franks has announced on social media that it’s coming to downtown Missoula, with a new brick-and-mortar location planned for 311 West Front Street. The restaurant is expected to open sometime in December 2026.

A Brick-and-Mortar Experience

It looks like this won't be another food truck. Pastrami Franks is setting up an actual restaurant where you’ll be able to stop in and grab a hot dog, a sandwich, or whatever else they decide to put on the menu.

According to the restaurant’s social media posts, the concept will feature old-school hot dogs, signature half-pound pastrami sandwiches piled high with toppings, and freshly baked rolls.

That sounds pretty good to me.

It also looks like Pastrami Franks is already getting into the Missoula spirit, with Monte making an appearance in some of their promotional photos.

A New Option for Quick Dining in Downtown Missoula

The new restaurant will give Missoula another option when you’re looking for something quick and satisfying downtown.

It’s also nice to see a new restaurant getting ready to open, especially after seeing several local restaurants close their doors recently.

We’ll have to wait until December to find out exactly what Pastrami Franks will be serving, but if you’re a fan of hot dogs and piled-high pastrami sandwiches, this is one new Missoula restaurant you’ll probably want to keep an eye on.
