Missoula Lard Butt ’22 in Pictures. Here’s What you Missed!
The non-typical Montana Marathon but ever-so Missoula event The Lard Butt 1K at Silver Park did not fail to live up to its credo as being a slog for the rest of us! One of the funnest things to be a participant in Western Montana. Just over ½ a mile- with doughnut stations every 250 meters and Beer and Mimosa’s. That’s a dream race for me. Yes, that is 1k.
Chris and I were honored to host this year's event, cheering and hooting for the racers.
We even got in on the fun. Here's Chris chowing on Doughnut Pacifiers when necessary.
Local brewer Highlander featured a special Lard Butt Lager to reward the arduous “feet” from waddling around the 1K course on a bright perfect if warm Saturday in Missoula, Montana. The Poverello Center collected food items.
Costumes were a BIG part of the action. Kids and pets were welcome. The LB1K is a fun way to burn off some energy without taking oneself too seriously. A lot of visitors from other States and some Countries were there and joined locals for an enjoyable break and oh yeah, doughnuts and beer & mimosas.
