Jake Sanderson, a defenseman who plays for the Ottawa Senators is on the U.S. roster for the tournament. Sanderson was born in Whitefish and started his career playing Mite hockey (8 years old and younger) here in Montana. He is the son of former NHL forward Geoff Sanderson, who played for eight teams including the Hartford Whalers, Vancouver Canucks, and Columbus Blue Jackets.

I consider myself a sports fan and appreciate most of them. When it comes to hockey though, I am not just a fan, I am a fanatic. In my opinion it is by far the best sport to ever watch live and in person. Watching it on television doesn't begin to do the game justice.
If you haven't caught any of the 4 Nations Face Off games yet, there is still time. There is a huge game this weekend between the U.S. and Canada. Maybe tune in and cheer on the U.S. and Jake Sanderson who is not just representing the country, but Montana too.
