It’s Mini Schnauzer Mania At Humane Society of Western Montana
One of the results of a recent large-scale animal neglect rescue case in western Montana is an adorable family of puppies ALMOST ready for adoption.
MEET BERNIE AND HIS SIBLINGS
It was another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana. Katie introduced us to Bernie, one of five 8-week-old miniature schnauzers who will be available for adoption this weekend (more on that in a moment). And, the pups' young mama Blanche (pictured below) is also at the shelter and is waiting for her forever home right now.
PUPPIES READY FOR ADOPTION AT PET FEST SATURDAY
If you’re thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, you won’t want to miss the incredible lineup of adoptable pets at Missoula's 21st annual Pet Fest this Saturday, August 15th, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, at Caras Park in downtown Missoula.
With over 10 rescue and shelter organizations from across the region coming together in one place, this is your chance to meet dozens of dogs, cats, and even a few unique surprises looking for loving folks to take them home.
And yes, that will include Bernie and his four mini schnauzer brothers and sisters, who are getting their spay and neuter surgeries this week.

FREE VACCINES AND MICROCHIPS TOO
Along with the animals they will bring for adoption, the Humane Society of Western Montana will be offering free core vaccines for cats and dogs, including rabies (for pets over 12 weeks), as well as free microchipping for all pets from 10:00 am until about 1:00 pm.

>Bring pets on leash or in carriers
>Past vaccine records are helpful, but not required
