Make Your Plans For the 2024 Montana Millionaire Game

The Montana Lottery's Montana Millionaire game will be here before you know it, so make your plans now if you want a chance at one of the many prizes available this year. The tickets will go on sale on Friday, November 1st at 5:30 am at Montana Lottery locations.

There are some changes this year that will make the game even bigger than last year. There will be an increase in both the amount of tickets sold and the amount of prizes available. Montana Millionaire tickets sold out last year in record time.

I spoke with Celina Clift, the Content Manager, for the Montana Lottery about the upcoming game and she gave some suggestions for this year's players.

We're encouraging all of our players to be there bright and early. I would suggest maybe plan on getting there at least an hour before, not 30 minutes. If it's anything like last year.

She explained that they have increased the amount of tickets this year from 380,000 to 500,000. They have also increased the winning millionaire tickets from 3 to 4. There will be more chances for instant wins with 4500, $100 prizes, and 2300, $500 prizes. If the tickets completely sell out the odds of winning $100 are one out of 111 tickets and the odds of winning $500 are one out of 217 tickets. This year there will also be a single $250,000 drawing that will take place on Monday December 2nd which is "Cyber Monday".

The Montana Lottery is encouraging their sales agents to possibly open a little earlier this year for the 5:30 am start time. They also want the players to know that you don't have to go to a location that has an employee run terminal to purchase your tickets. Tickets will be available at all Montana Lottery terminals, minus the sports betting machines. You can get tickets at super markets, gas stations, grocery stores, bars, or casinos that are open for business at the time they go on sale. According to Celina, the non-employee terminals weren't used very much last year for purchasing tickets.

The Montana Lottery offers a lot of games to choose from with some big jackpots, including Montana Cash that currently has a jackpot of over $600,000 and is only available at Montana Lottery retailers.
