Montana Costco Issues 3 Product Recalls: What Every Shopper Needs to Know

The Costco shopping experience has been undergoing some changes recently. For those with the Executive Membership, Costco has expanded their early morning hours for shopping.

Costco has announced three recent safety recalls for products that are sold at their stores. The recalls include an air conditioner, tires and a power bank charger.

This time of year more people are relying on their air conditioners to keep themselves cool. One type of window air conditioner has been recalled.

Window Air Conditioner: The Danby 8,000 BTU U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner has been recalled. The reason for the recall is the potential risk of mold growth. The air conditioner can fail to drain quickly enough and can get "pooled water," which can lead to mold growth. Mold can cause a health hazard. The model number in the recall is DAC080B6IWDB-6.

Consumers can go to the Midea Recall website for more information on this and other recalled models sold outside of Costco.

Michelin Tires: Michelin has recalled some of their tires that were sold at Costco, the Agilis CrossClimate C-Metric tires in the 185/60R 15C size. According to Michelin, there is a possibility that 'chunks of tread rubber may detach from the shoulder block.'

If your tires are part of the recall, you should take them to a Michelin dealer who will replace the tires and mount and balance them at no charge. Anker Power Bank: Another recalled product is the Anker Power Bank (10K, 22.5W) — Model A1257. The recall is due to a "potential issue involving lithium-ion battery cells from a single vendor."
