Montana Costco Stores Expanding Hours—And That’s Not the Only Change

Recently, Costco has announced an increase in their gas station hours. For those who have Costco memberships you can now pump your gas earlier or later was previously the case.

Those aren't the only changes that Costco has been making recently. Reports suggest that Costco is experimenting with a "scan and go" technology. Costco hasn't made any official announcement about the new technology coming to our stores soon.

According to USA Today, Costco sent out an email to members last week informing them of upcoming changes. Costco is going to offer expanded hours to some of its members. Starting June 30, Costco Executive Members will have the opportunity to shop starting at 9 a.m. They will also get a monthly credit of $10 for orders of over $150, if they use Costco's "same day" service or Instacart.

Costco Offering "Executive Hours"

Costco executive hours will be:

• Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
• Sunday: 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.

There is another change that will affect all members, not just executive members. Costco is expanding its Saturday evening hours staying open until 7 p.m.

For future reference, I may have found the optimum time to go shopping at Costco. Shopping at 10:00 a.m. on Father's Day, was surprisingly quiet. It almost felt like I had the store to myself, by 11 a.m., it started picking up, but for a while it was fantastic, and I got a taste of what the "executive hours" might feel like at the end of the month.
