Costco updates are happening fast and furious these days. For those that missed being able to serve your own onions on your hot dogs, you will be happy to know that the onions are back.

There have also been changes to everyday shopping at Costco. They have implemented self-checkouts, they are using scanners to scan membership cards at entrances, and they are enforcing memberships for purchasing food at Costco food courts.

Another change that Costco is adopting is happening with a lot of other businesses. Costco is starting a "buy-now, pay-later" program for their online shoppers who are spending a minimum of $500, according to Men's Journal. The repayment periods can run from three to 36 months and there will be interest involved.

Costco isn't the only major retailer offering the option of buy now, pay later. Walmart also offers the option for their customers.

Costco quietly made another change earlier this month according to The Street. Their gold bars have become very popular online. Customers used to be able to purchase two gold bars in a single online transaction. They have now limited customers to one gold bar per transaction.

The buy-now, pay-later program may open the door for more people to shop at Costco here in Montana. Even though they are already one of the more popular places to shop in the state, don't take my word for it, just stop by at noon on a Saturday and you can see for yourself.
