We had a story a while back about how Montanans have a "winning" attitude.  In a survey, Montanans ranked high for self-confidence, optimism, motivation, and bravery.

What if Montanans are this way because of Montana itself?

Plenty of studies show that different aspects of an environment affect people--what if the way we talk about Montana improves our attitudes?

That's a question for a social scientist.

But I started thinking about this because I noticed the other day that Montana has several town names that celebrate or point out how big or expansive a place is. There are also town names that signal the high quality, like this one:

It's all in a name, right? Check out these Montana town names that highlight Montana's vastness and let's see if maybe they might help spark a "winning attitude."

Montana is the fourth largest state, and driving all the way across the state takes hours, so it seems appropriate we'd have a town name with the word "Broad."  As far as Montana's having a winning attitude, this might inspire motivation.

An easy descriptor of Montana's vastness are the towns that start with "Big." Another type of town name that might be motivating.
