A New Missoula Eatery For People and Pets Is Coming Soon

A new bakery is coming to Missoula on February 1st. "Bolt and Bruizer's Bakery and Barkery" is opening with treats for both people and their pets and will be located at 1300 South Reserve Street, Suite A. This is an exciting business that is the creation of owners Xavier Gonzales-Graybill and Todd "Bolt" Stenson along with office manager Valkyrie Harrison. I had the chance to talk with them about the business. Valkyrie said,

We're baking and barkin', we are a bakery and barkery and we specialize in all things sweet and savory for humans and our fluffy friends.

For The Humans

"Bolt and Bruizer's Bakery and Barkery" will be offering a wide variety of menu items with gluten-free, vegan, sugar-free, and keto products available. Xavier described some of the goodies they will be offering,

Gluten free, vegan selections would be cookies, cupcakes,  and chocolate chip zucchini bread. For the sugar free/keto it will be cheese cake brownies, pumpkin bars and cupcakes as well.

 

They will also be offering up a wide variety of more traditional baked goods. Once they are fully up and running, there will be a lot of choices for a lot of tastes, from sweet to savory, Xavier explained,

We'll be doing cookies, cupcakes, Kouign-amann, that's a French pastry that is carmelized crunchy outside with a gooey sugary inside. I  put our own twist on it, we infuse it with fresh fruit. All of our products, when we use fruit, will have fresh fruit in it. For example, our turnovers and Danishes will all be fresh fruit style.  We'll also be doing croissants and chocolate croissants... We also do birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and customized cakes.

They will work with clients to customize cakes for any occasion. Right now they are taking orders for Valentine's Day. They will be making heart-shaped cakes, with customized sayings for the special day. To order your cakes you can give them a call (406) 317-1228.

For The Furry Friends

What makes this bakery a little different is they are going to be offering an array of products for our furry friends as well Xavier adds,

We will have dog cakes, dog cupcakes and then three different doggy treats. We use all organic ingredients, for example, our dog cupcakes and cakes are like a pumpkin unsweetened natural applesauce with an oat flour. Our dog treats are pumpkin peanut butter, and then we use for frosting, plain Greek yogurt to frost the cupcakes.

The Full Menu Will Roll Out In Phases

The bakery and coffee bar will be opening on February 1st with bagels, cookies, cupcakes, dog treats, and some vegan and keto options. They will be adding more to the menu on February 10th and are aiming to have the full menu operating by the beginning of March. The full menu will include breakfast sandwiches, biscuits, and gravy, a large array of pastries, and more. When "Bolt and Bruizer's Bakery and Barkery" opens, they will operate from 6am-7pm seven days a week.
