We have been keeping track of Trader Joe's expansion in the West for a while now. As the business continues to expand, there is hope that they will be opening a store in Montana one of these days.

We found out last year via their official podcast that they will be opening up stores in all 48 contiguous states in the U.S.

For a lot of us in Montana, we don't get to experience all that Trader Joe's has to offer, because if you want to visit one, you'll have to travel.

According to a 2025 Axios Harris Poll, Trader Joe's ranks at the top for having the best reputation among the most visible brands based on 20 years of research. That is higher than Costco, Microsoft, and Toyota.

How You Can Request a Store in Your Town

If you have been waiting for a Trader Joe's to come to your town you can let them know you want one in your town. The demand for Trader Joe's is so big that their website has a page where you can request one to come to your town. You can find that here.

I have relatives that live in a town that has a Trader Joe's and every time we visit we try to make a trip to the store. When they visit us they bring me a box of Trader Joe's Almond Windmill Cookies, they are so good.
