Saving money is on many people’s minds these days. With the rising cost of groceries and talk of tariffs on imported goods, people are quick to take any opportunity to save.

Why Thrift Shopping Matters in Missoula

That is evident by the recent opening of a few thrift stores in Missoula.

Missoula Thrift opened this summer in the Holiday Village. Flathead Industries runs it and they have some big plans in the future to add disability services for members of the community that need it.

Super Thrift: More Than Just Savings

We became familiar with the Teen Challenge program in Missoula when we started purchasing our Christmas trees from them every year from their stand in the parking lot of the Christian Life Center during the holiday season.

Shopping at Super Thrift not only saves money, but purchases and donations help support 14 residential recovery centers across five states. Super Thrift also offers a loyalty rewards program. You can get $10 off when you spend $100. From the look of the full parking lot, Super Thrift is already doing a lot of business.

What You Can Donate to Super Thrift

Super Thrift accepts donations of slightly used clothing, household items, furniture, tools, and appliances. They also offer pickup services for donations. According to their website, this is the first Super Thrift location in Montana.
