Gene Simmons’ Awkward Moment With Montana Journalist Goes Viral
The rock band Kiss has been on the news a lot lately. There was the passing of founding member Ace Frehley in October, and more recently members of the band have been awarded the Kennedy Center Honors.
Gene Simmons’ Montana Interview Moment
Gene Simmons, a founding member of Kiss, has been making the rounds on multiple media outlets discussing the honor and his testimony before the U.S. Senate about the "Music Fairness Act". He recently sat down with Montana journalist Maritsa Georgiou, and at the end of their interview, Simmons seemed to hit on Georgiou.

Maritsa Georgiou is an award-winning journalist and University of Montana alum who has worked at NBC Montana and is now a national news anchor for Scripps Media. Georgiou also hosts the Grounded Podcast with former U.S. Senator Jon Tester.
The Awkward Question That Sparked Attention
At the end of the interview, Simmons asked Georgiou a question about modeling, which seemed to take Georgiou by surprise, and the exchange became a bit awkward. But being the professional journalist that she is, Georgiou wrapped up the interview with a smile.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of meeting Georgiou at various Montana Broadcaster Association functions, and she was always nice and professional every time I spoke with her. As a professional journalist, she can now add that she has been hit on by Gene Simmons to her long and impressive resume.
