Now Open: Longest ‘Water Coaster’ in the Country Only Hours from Montana [PHOTOS]
We just learned some really exciting news about an attraction that is very close to western Montana.
If you grew up around here, there's a very good chance that when you were a kid, you visited Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, Idaho. Some of my favorite memories are visits to Silverwood when I was a kid. We took pictures in the old west costumes We rode the Steam Engine Train with the robbers. And of course, our favorite ride was Thunder Canyon.
While Montana has have waterslides, it doesn't have a theme park, so it felt like a big deal when we visited Silverwood. We just learned from our friends at Kiss FM in Boise that Montana’s favorite amusement park just built a very cool feature.

If you did love Thunder Canyon with the giant inner tube and the 8 seats this attraction puts that to shame. Silverwood Park has now built the longest “water coaster” in the country.
Did you even know water coasters were a thing? I didn't. When I was growing up, there were water rides and there were roller coasters. So thanks to the genius who put these two together.
Eagle Hunt is a “dueling water coaster” which means you race other riders on the coaster.
It's about a 3-hour drive to Silverwood Park from Missoula, and if you haven’t been to the park since you were a kid, there are plenty of features to entertain anyone of any age.
