Will Future Robots Look Like A Montanan?
It's reported that James Cameron came up with the idea of the robot for the movie The Terminator while he was sick with a fever. Arnold Schwarzenegger famously played the role of the robot in the first movie. But what if the robot didn't look or sound like Arnold, but instead looked and sounded like you or me, or your neighbor?
That is now a possibility and someone is going to get paid some pretty good money for it. A Russian robot company is offering $200,000 to use a person's face and voice for their robot that will be used "forever".
Montana has it's share of attractive people who could be a model for these futuristic robots.

The company Promobot is looking for someone with a "kind and friendly" appearance and age and gender requirements won't disqualify the right person for the robot. Their plans for the robots are to be used in "hotels, shopping malls and other busy environments". Imagine checking into a hotel in a foreign country and you are greeted by a robot that looks like someone you went to school with in Montana? How wild would that be?
Initially when I read about this, my thought was that it would be pretty cool and $200,000 would go a long way. Then I thought about how the movie the Terminator ends and realized that maybe it wouldn't be so cool, at least for me. For someone this may be an opportunity of a lifetime and who knows, maybe it will be someone from Montana.
