Romance should happen more than once a year in the middle of February. Romance can happen all year round. Travelers are already planning their Spring Break vacations. The first big travel holiday of the year is coming up in May with Memorial Day weekend.

Travel + Leisure Lists Montana As One of the Best Romantic Trip Destinations

According to Travel + Leisure's list "50 Best Romantic Vacations for a Couples Trip", Montana makes the cut. If you have spent any time here at all, it shouldn't come as a big surprise that Montana is on the list. Just look around and you will see we have our share of romantic locations. Montana even has a location that is both one of the most romantic and one of the scariest at the same time. That's part of what makes Montana great.

There are other places in the U.S. that have made the list. California is well represented with quite a few locations like Palm Springs, Dana Point, Idyllwild, Sonoma Valley, and Catalina Island, just to name a few.

I was surprised to see how many places on the list I have visited. Not always with romance as the main reason for the trip, but in all of the places I have visited we've been able to find a bit of romance.

I have spent time in Scotland, San Francisco, Sonoma, California, Port Angeles, Washington, Bend, Oregon, and the Oregon Coast. All of these locations make the list as some of the most romantic, and I can vouch for a few of them as being romantic.

When making your travel plans, keep in mind if you are planning to fly, you may want to get your Real ID. If you don't have a Real ID you will need a passport, or passport card to board a plane starting May, 7, 2025.
