Pearl Jam has a very close relationship with Montana. After all one of the founding members was born and raised in Montana. Jeff Ament hasn't made it a secret that he is from Big Sandy, Montana and that he attended the University of Montana, before leaving to go to Seattle to start his music career.

Jeff Ament Has Given A Lot Back to Montana

Not only has Jeff not made it a secret, he has worn the fact that he is from Montana like a badge of honor. He continues to spend time in Montana when he is not on the road touring. He also continues to give back to Montana and support the youth in our state by helping to build skateboard parks in Montana with his organization the "Montana Pool Service". To date they have built over 30 skate parks across Montana and South Dakota with more on the way.

They have just announced their new album called "Dark Matter" and their upcoming 2024 tour, which will see them play in Missoula on Thursday, August 22nd at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. This will be Pearl Jam's 9th time playing Montana and their third time playing Washington-Grizzly stadium. This show will also be historic. It will be the third major show announced at the stadium for 2024. The most we have ever seen play the stadium in one year, yet along one week.
