Friday Night, Missoula's MMA fighter Justin Harbison suffered his first loss of his professional career at the Cage Fury Fighting Championships in Florida. Justin's professional record is now 1-1. Around the time one Montana fighter was getting ready for his bout it, was announced that Montana's Sean "Suga" O'Malley's next fight will be  on one of the biggest stages ever for a fight.

Sean O'Malley Will Fight On The Biggest Stage Ever for UFC

Sean O'Malley had teased that he wanted to fight at the Sphere in Las Vegas, now it looks like that is going to happen. Sean O'Malley's next fight will take place on September 14th, at what is being called "Noche UFC", against the the bantam weight top contender Merab Dvalishvili, according to ESPN. This will be a 10-fight card for the event.

It May Be the Only Chance to See Him Fight at the Sphere

Dana White says this will be the most expensive UFC event that has been put together. He also says it will be a "one and done" event. So this may be the only time you will be able to see a UFC event at the Sphere. Depending on the success of the event may depend on whether he changes his mind about holding another event there in the future.

Sean O'Malley is 18-1-0 in his professional career, Merab has a record of 17-4-0, with 10 straight wins. O'Malley has a height advantage, he is listed as 5'11, with Merab's height listed at 5'6.

The Sphere in Las Vegas will be an interesting venue for a fight like this. With the immersive experience that some bands have put on at the Sphere, holding a UFC event there may be worth the price of admission. Allegiant airlines has direct flights from Missoula to Vegas, so make your plans now if you want to try to catch Montana's own Sean O'Malley live in person as he defends his title.
