Why a Small Town Stole Montana’s Beauty Title
Montana is full of beautiful cities. Some of them have some spectacular views of mountains, lakes, and in some cases rivers that run right through town.
Beauty is subjective. After all.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder — Margaret Wolfe Hungerford
To make the statement that one Montana city is considered ‘the most beautiful’ is bold. A statement like that will most likely cause divided opinions.
There is a publication that has had the courage to make that statement, so now we can let the arguing begin.
According to TheTravel.com they have proclaimed Livingston as Montana’s Most Beautiful City.
Why Livingston Was Chosen
They give plenty of reasons for defending their decision.
The fact that it isn’t one of Montana’s bigger cities helps the cause. With a population of less than 10,000 people, there are a lot of people who find that attractive.
Small‑Town Charm, Big Scenery
The proximity to the entrance to Yellowstone National Park is another reason that it may be attractive to some.

They also note the great fly fishing and river access available around Livingston.

They did mention some famous people that have places in the area, like John Mayer and Tom Brokaw. Livingston also boasts a huge population of writers. According to Bozemannet.com, the area has more professional writers per capita than San Francisco or New York.

There is one thing that they didn’t mention. Livingston was highlighted in a Jimmy Buffett song in 1978. He knew how special the town was decades ago.
So, do you agree with TheTravel.com that Livingston, Montana is our most beautiful city, or do you think there are other cities that should be considered?
